Graduation Requirements

Grades 9-12

2019-2020 School Year

English 4 credits

[Students whose first language is not English must earn a minimum of 3 credits in English, including at

least one full credit in English I or higher.]

NOTE: All CBA students are required to be enrolled in at least one English course throughout

each academic year.

Mathematics 3 credits

[Minimal 3-credit requirement: Algebra I, Geometry, Algebra II]

NOTE: All students are required to take at least three years of mathematics in grades 9-12.

Social Studies 3 credits

[Required course: U.S. History (1 credit)]

Science 3 credits

[Required course: Biology (1 credit)]

World Language 2 credits

[Students whose first language is English are required to take at least two consecutive years of the same

world language in grades 9-12.]

Foreign language

[Students may also earn technology credits by taking Media Arts courses.]

Physical Education 2 credits

[Required course: Health (1/2 credit); additional Physical Education credits are earned for Afternoon

Activities or by participating in a team sport.]

Electives 5 credits

[Carolina Basketball Academy students must earn a minimum of 24 credits and satisfy the subject area

requirements as specified above. Once a student enrolls at Carolina Basketball Academy.

All Courses are Accredited Through our Partner School.
